Cows, Corn On The 4th of July

I painted this spot a few years and after driving around looking for " a spot" I came across the same Spot! I so enjoyed painting the Holsteins, The abstract nature of the white and dark are a blast! I had Sadie my Rat Terrier along and we were having fun. She was doing dog stuff and I painted.  I started hearing what I assumed were firecrackers as it is the 4th of July. Nope some one was shooting a .22 and I heard a few zings and yelled " Hey, I am on the road!" quiet for a bit then it started again, I packed and left. I guess it was a kid as shooting towards a road is illegal. So a first time and I hope the last! I finished up with the cows at home after letting the nerves calm down. I am a vet and a former hunter  so I was not to shaken but too close for comfort!
