Purple Coneflowers And A Timeless View

Every time I see this view it takes my breath away. There are Indian Mounds along the bluff behind me when I was painting so I guess this view has been special for a very long time. I had to paint fast as the clouds rolled in and the sky gradually got darker and a shower rolled through. I loved the Purple Coneflowers and thought they deserved a spot in the painting. Sometimes when under the threat of getting wet things come together quick.
