I found this spot and discovered it is the Cormorant Tree named after the birds that hang around and dry their wings while perched on the dead branches.  After a strong storm overnight I knew the clouds would be fun to paint and the view offered a nice balance of tree and sky. I had to wait for the clouds but they added so much to the painting it was so worth it. I was also lucky to have a Cormorant come and perch so He was a treat to add. A beautiful day at the lake!
