Water Rushing Along Nine Mile Creek

A favorite spot on 9 Mile Creek that is a long haul from the parking spot. I always enjoy coming down the creek and listen for the sound of the rushing water as it spills over the rocks. After a month of rain the creek is running fast and furious as it winds down to the Minnesota River.  I did this over 2 sessions, one long one in the field and a shorter one in the studio. I have such a blast painting the creek I lose track of time and become immersed in the painting. The Egret was a treat as she showed up as I was cleaning up but still had the brushes out.
