Keeping Watch

It has been very cold up here in my neck of the woods, I have opted for studio work until signs of a warm up and low winds reveal themselves. I have had an image like this floating around the space between the ears for sometime and I finally had it come forth enough to commit to linen. I had no picture or reference other than experience and imagination.  I do not do these often but when the mind sees it clearly I try and act on it. Not entirely sure it is finished but it is for the time being as I let it sit for a bit and look at it with a fresh eye.
