Early March Thaw

Woke up to a foggy morning and knew exactly where I would paint. A short drive, less than 5 min. on the north end of Lake Harriet by the bird Sanctuary and next to Lakewood Cemetery. I love this marshy place alive with the sound of birds and ducks. The open water is a nice treat against the remaining snow which is melting fast. Been warm for the last couple days but we still have time for a few snows b/4 we are out of the woods. I love the design and the flow in this painting and the hints of green really sets it off.
